## Data we collect
- Identity and contact details you submit (name, email, phone if provided, message content)
- Consultation preference selected on the contact form
- Technical data such as browser type and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted
- Records created if you become a client (engagement letters, fact-find notes, identity checks required for regulated advice)
We do not ask for payment card numbers through this website.
## Purposes and lawful bases
- Responding to enquiries — legitimate interests and, where applicable, steps prior to a contract
- Delivering advice under engagement — performance of a contract and legal/regulatory obligations
- Improving the website (analytics only if you accept) — consent
- Keeping records required by financial services regulation — legal obligation
## Retention
Enquiry messages that do not become clients are retained for up to 24 months. Client files are retained for the periods required by applicable financial services record-keeping rules, typically at least five years after the end of the relationship, and longer where complaints or regulatory requirements demand it. Analytics data is retained according to the tool settings described in our [cookie notice](/cookies/).
## Sharing
We may share data with IT and email providers who process information on our instructions, professional referees you authorise (such as your accountant), and regulators or law enforcement when required. We do not sell personal data.
## International transfers
If a processor stores data outside the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations where available.
## Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. This site is aimed at adults seeking financial advice. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
